Well after a long week with my kids scattered from hither to yon, they are all finally home! Delanie and KaeLee came home Wed, Daniel later that evening and Kyah just got home from a week with her Dad about 1 hour ago. It feels really good to have them all here. Nice to be "complete". Ron is thrashing grain/barley like a mad man, told me he has about 150acres left. It all has gone really well so far, no accidents or breaksowns either. All the kids school clothes shopping is done, except for Daniel, saved the easiest for last.
All my worries about Daniel's feet weren't in vain, they did hurt and still do, don't know how to proceed at this point. Just watching it right now, he won't risk going to the Dr. and having them put him back in cast boots when Football season starts on Monday. Big Senior year, hard to believe. He did get a special camp award up at the basketball camp, camp player or something to that effect, and his team also won the champioship.
Kyah's daycare fell through the day before yesterday, but we got hold of a daycare about 3-1/2 miles from Delanie's apartment last night and they seem really nice. I think it will all work out for the best. They are a little cheaper, still $137.00 a week, but amazingly enough that is cheaper. They are also willing to give her a break the week that Kyah is with her Dad.
Have to register the kids on Wed. hard to believe school is only 12 days away but it is. They all seem excited. I am nervous to send my baby to the "big" school though. Thank heavens Superintendent "aunt" Shell is there. Well all in all it has been a great week, better now that all my chicks are home, even have Izaak back.
I just have to say I never thought being a stay at home mom could be so fulfilling and fun. I love being around my family and seeing Ron 50 times a day if I want, just riding with him, right now I am watching him go back and forth in the combine right outside my bedroom window. Nice thing having the people you love most close by.

Shala, love your blog! More important though, love your family!
We feel blessed to have such good friends!

Who are the impostors in your home? They cannot possibly be your children--they are tall and mature (in appearance, if not in nature--I do know their mother). Good luck in upcoming endeavors to the college student, the football player, and (I can only imagine) the boy-crazy,
drive-mom-crazy teens. Most of all, good luck to Shala and Ron!
If you ever find yourself in upstate New York, let me know.
