Murtaugh VS Dietrich and VIP Night

What an awesome day! After school today Dan decided that maybe he did feel well enough to play basketball. Coach Johnson and Coach Cummins were awesome to let him play after mssing practive all week sicker than crap. The VIP night went off without a hitch and Ron & I were very honored to be chosen by Ashley Bridges and Filiberto Martinez, the kids here are such awesome kids and I am privileged to just associate with them.

Now on to the ball game it was such an awesome game. Dietrich and Murtaugh are fairly evenly matched and the game and the score proved it. Great sportsmanship and wonderful ball skills were displayed. Way to go boys.

ACADEMIC ALL STAR

Today Mrs. Ainsworth called to tell me that KMVT called to tell her Daniel was selected as the Academic All Star. They are coming to film him on Friday. I am so proud of him. They asked him to gather some of his awards and pictures and such. I will let you all know when it will air on the news.

My poor boy.

Well, we have had one heckuva couple weeks. Daniel started not feeling well the Monday before New Years (after having fought a cold virus for several weeks). By Friday he was really bad. His top lip was swollen huge(looked more like a beak according to Delanie), and he had sores on the outside of his top lip. After further investigation by our Dr. he discovered the whole inside of his mouth and throat was covered with canker sores. The called it viral Stomatitis. On Sunday it got really bad and he was having awful pain in his sternum. We ran him to the emergency room where they discovered that the sores had gone down his throat through his esophagus into his stomach. They are treating it really aggressively but it is wiping him out. He didn't play in last nights Basketball game with Carey and probably will miss this Fridays with Dietrich. He has slept since 11:00 last night so a total of 17 hours only waking for about an hour throughout.

Now Baby Kyah has the same symptoms starting. Isn't that glorious.
