Seattle Game

Well as most of you know, Ron, Dan, & I were headed to Seattle on November 23rd to watch our Seahawks play the Washington Redskins. The plan was we left home at 6:00 to get the Boise Airport by 8:30 to board a 9:55 flight for Seattle. Then after a taxi ride to QWEST field we were going to watch the game taxi back to the airport and be home around 1:00 the next morning. Well, things did not go as planned. We made it to the airport in good time to find that our flight was delayed until 10:27 because of the fog in Boise, so we waited thinking that would still be ok with the hour we gained there in Seattle. I learned that day that planes can take off in the fog but not land, they need 4000' feet of visible runway to land and they only had around 1200' that day. Then the flight was delayed again until 11:10, that would still be ok, close but ok. When we heard the ground crew say at 11:00 that they couldn't land they were headed straight to Seattle we knew that didn't sit well with our plans. The airline took care of their "gold" passengers, then those with connecting flights, then the rest of us. Well, after finding out that with the wait for the next plane and the taxi ride that we wouldn't make it to the game until halftime or after, we bagged it. We did get our money back for the plane tickets, but the Football tickets you see above are the most expensive souvenirs I have ever bought. All in all maybe we weren't supposed to go to Seattle, maybe we needed to be home? I don't question God's intervention to much. Dan, Ron, and I were fine just a little disappointed. We did get to spend a lot of time with the girls and Kyah.

TWILIGHT

Well, thanks to an invitaion from Christine, I wound up taking my girls to see Twilight last Saturday, along with about 20 people from Murtaugh. I really enjoyed the books but wasn't as anxious to see the movie as some. Well, oh my word(as Brook says) it was so good. I left the theatre and had to go buy the book for Lanie, she hadn't read it and is loving it. Dan took Halie that night on a date, and Izaak is taking Lanie again Wed. night. Daniel even commented he would like to see it again. I am hard pressed to pay to see a movie at the theatre at $7.50 a pop but I tell you what I would pay to see that one again and I am currently tryig to guilt Ron into taking me!! Go see it, it is great!
